LOL I have no idea how to contact them but I the guy who is local to do NPIP has an office right here in Ozark so it shouldn't be hard to find out. Thanks.

Several days ago, a jake was acting funny(I couldn't get his attention), and walked a little odd once I got his attention. Several hours later, he was fine, and I chalked it up to he jarred something jumping off the roost.
He is 100% back to normal except one thing. I never noticed him tilting his head before. He now cocks it slightly to the left. It isn't constant, he will straighten it. It is just concerning. Any ideas?

How high is is roost?

I have a question. I am wanting to get Royal Palms for my husband but I read that you can't have chicks with baby turkeys, that the chicks give the turkeys some kind of disease. Is this true? Thanks.

IMO, it's best to assume that they can get blackhead on your property, so probably wise to have medications on hand just in case.

Corid or Amprol for coccidiosis
Safeguard or Valbazen for worming
Metronidazole for blackhead and some other bacterial infections
Baytril for E. coli

Haha! I didn't even try! I am having a horrible year for sexing birds! Turkeys and chickens are both throwing me for a loop this year. I could have sworn I had a hen out of the 3 in this batch, but apparently I was wrong, they are maturing at incredibly different rates, making the less dominant ones appear more like a hen. I have 4 more that are Narra x with either bronze or RP, 4 weeks younger.

Then turkey if you can't tell with the narri's at hatch then you wind up having to wait till they are nearly or about 4 months old from their snood and display or wait for a gobble. lol
But if they are not all progressing the same that usually means that some are not getting enough feed or enough protein in their feed.
