Turning a shed into a coop.

OP,

You may consider letting hubby do some things "his way" in order to ultimately get things done. That's the question of the day: Is it worth letting him do things his way to get some good progress on the project?"

Only you can answer that. Good luck.

No letting him do things his way are not worth the safety of my girls. Where they are at, well that will get them through the winter with a few improvements that I can make on my own.

Well starting back up, never got electric run so this might only be the summer coop when it's done, but we'll see. DH is on board to build the run and today I finished the windows. I'm pretty proud of what I have done, considering I have no building skills. Tomorrow I will finish getting the stuff out and then start on the inside. The lumber for the run will be here tomorrow and we will get that done this weekend, I hope. While I appreciate all the advice on how others think I should be doing this, I hope you all can support me on how I have decided to do it and make it my own.
The window, the other 2 are done the same. Not sure I like the eyehooks thing and may change that.

So more progress, I'm hoping to move the girls in by the 2nd week of Oct. Still no electric but I will run an extension cord to plug in the water. DH helped me with the basic framing but I did all the cross supports, the roof, HC and CW myself. I also built the door, that about kicked my butt! I'm really happy with it so far.

Area cleaned and ready....

As you can see there was a gap that I covered with the roofing, Thinking of just filling that it with some spray foam....

Under the ramp is where their food and water will go.

I will be using the nesting boxes from the old coop, so those will go in the day of the move. The area were the plastic fence is where I will store food and bedding.

Dh is going to install a pully system for the pop door and drill the hole for the extension cord this weekend. I don't have off work until this coming Tue, so thats when I will finish up and move the girls over.
