Over the past two months, two of my hens have been picking on my EE. She's at the bottom of the pecking order, so she's their target. It went from a simple peck on the head to tugging out the feathers on her back and pecking big spots in her back.
I have taken my EE out of the coop three times to let her back heal up, but every time I put her back in the coop, they tear her open again.
I have tried blu-kote, Vicks VapoRub, and leaving her out of the coop until her back feathers grow back and the wounds heal, and I have even seperated the two bullies from the flock, but nothing is working. They just go right back to picking on her.
How do I get them to stop beating up my EE? Is the only option to re-home them?
