I’ll try to make this as short as possible, any advice is greatly appreciated!

I’m new to being a chicken mom. We have 2 Rhode Island reds, 3 silkies, a few Wyandottes, an ayam Cemani rooster ... and a partridge in a pear tree (jk ☺️)

Anyway, my silkies just started laying eggs about 2 months ago. Suddenly Mimi (our grey silkie) went broody about 2 weeks ago. So I left her with her 4 eggs and let her be.

Two days ago, Wanda (our black silkie) went broody literally right up next to Mimi. She was taking her eggs and sitting on them, both girls literally never leave their “broody box”. Wanda laid two of her own eggs, I have marked them all so I know who’s is who’s.

I’ve never dealt with broody hens, hatching eggs, or anything that comes with that.

Can they be together or do I need to separate them? Should I remove them from the rest of the flock? What should I do after the chicks hatch, if they hatch. We’re on about day 10 for Mimi’s eggs, and day 3-4 for Wanda’s eggs.

Thanks for the help!!! ❤️❤️
