thank you realsis... I will do that....tylan dose for chicks is .10cc that's a 10th of a cc. very small amount. it can be given orally or in the back of neck for chicks. tylan is geared for upper respiratory issues. I'd use a general anti infective such as Gallimycine. and you can also put into the eye colloidal silver. this will help her. you can get the silver at a health food store. hope this helps
best wishes.
Michael Apple, I'm not even sure it is an infection..... I really don't know what it is. She is very active and healty otherwise. As you can see in the picture, it's sort of a bulge, swollen area originating from the corner. I looked in it with a flashlight and there's nothing there. I'm assuming it's either an injury, pink eye, or a minor infection. Hoping it's not a tumor growing behind the eye. I'm expecting terramycin in the mail today so I'm going to start that. If that doesn't work, I will try what you recommended. Have you had luck with this?Injecting the chick is not the way to go. If it is just an eye infection and the bird shows no other signs of respiratory distress, I recommend this:

If there is any wheezing going on Tylan soluble powder or LS-50 soluble powder at 1 teaspoon per gallon of water will work. If other chicks have been around this chick, give the whole group this as the sole source of drinking water for 5-7 days.
thank you realsis... I will do that....

Wow!!! Alot of contradiction on this website.... From what I've researched, terramycin was something a lot of people seemed to use. I will definately order what you said... TYI wouldn't recommend it if I haven't tried it and it worked. Terramycin (Oxytetracycline) won't do anything for the eye.
I've read a lot about this too. Did your duck's eye look like the pic that I posted? TYI had this problem with my duck. I bought VetRx its a Poultry Remedy and in a gallon of water I put one drop and his eye got better i got it at tractor supply
