noamkelp claims it helps strengthen shells, and yes, it provides vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

Thanks Celtic..back to our regularly scheduled subject........... will be doing a follow up call to the purina rep today, will let you know if I get through and if he has any new info for us. Christine will get the label info for you today that mentioned yesterday on the kelp. Always worth reading up on and seeing if it will help those feathers. I believe getting back on my previous diet will help a lot, but would like to do as much as possible for them to get their feathers back in good condition.
Great C thanks for sharing.I have an email this morning too Lydia from our local rep. Says about the same thing and he will call me Monday to go over all the percentages and details.
This is great Miss L!!! I am glad to see they finally got back to you.Just got this email from Purina, guess I'll have to apologize All of the ingredients in our feeds are tested for aflatoxins. If they contain any toxins we turn the load away and don’t use it. If you have questions, please let me know.

Great Celtic! Talking to someone is a better thing to do if you can. Oh and rather than going back and quoting all of the posts, I too have not been happy with the results from the FR. That is why I switched to the Blue Seal. I can only get 3 different feeds up here. Purina/Tractor Supply from the Penn. plant, Blue Seal from N.H. or the Shur-Gain out of Quebec. That's it, we are so limited here it's pathetic. My BB Turkeys seemed to do alright with it except the females are laying and I've had to add in layer pellets as their eggs were rubbery. Size wise, they are big. As in we had better get these guys done soon. Feather quality? Slim to nil. My heritage turkeys are about the same as for the looks. They're growing but they aren't much to look at. Ducks and geese, are probably the best looking out of the bunch but I wouldn't call their feathers great.I have an email this morning too Lydia from our local rep. Says about the same thing and he will call me Monday to go over all the percentages and details.
