Gee everyone, thanks for all the nice comments about my rusty old horse trailer coop.

I was almost too embarassed to post the pics!

rooster-red, I love your little pink coop - it's adorable! And I agree - when I win the lottery I'll build something much nicer and prettier, but for now it's strictly function over form. Much more important that the chickens' needs are met than how pretty it is.

This is so much fun! I can't wait to see what else everyone has come up with.

come on people im having coop pic withdrawls... I was looking at an old truck topper i have sitting in my yard, brainstorming on how i can make it into a coop LOL. God my hubby has created a monster!!!! I bet he is really sorry he bought those first chicks when i told him not to now.

OK then, here's the ugliest coup...

Rotten back walls, full of rust holes

I removed the rusted walls so they would have some shelter

after I put up some more recycled tin.

My 9 ex-battery hens think it's a palace compared to thier cages.

But now that you fixed the rusty back....at least from the inside, it looks nice!
