No I didn’t hatch them I got them aged 7 weeks from a lovely breeder in Durham. You’re not far from me! What kind do you fancy?

Ah nice, my parents aren’t far from there. Im just after four birds at the moment, the wife says I have to have a Silkie and I’ll just pick up whatever else looks pretty/has a nice temperment.

Mine too like a bit of frozen veg. I tend to put it out in dishes though as I have mainly polish. Polish and open water really don’t mix  They do like to have a nice damp/wet patch in the run too. Nice & cooling on their feet

30c here today both on the car & my phone. More than hot enough for me especially with the mugginess of it all!

My Araucanas are the same. When they have a drink it looks like they have slicked there hair back! I think a good thunderstorm is needed to freshen things up. The air is heavy even in the shade it's still hot. I don't think I could survive if it's much warmer! I already feel like I'm melting! Roll on cooler climes, then we can moan about it being to cold!

It is heavy yes! Some of the clouds that built up today looked like storm one’s but alas nothing from them :( I’m getting desperate now for rain for my field and I’m having to feed haylage to Harry horse! Using precious winter stock up now which isn’t good. Got the new hay that’s baled but can’t use it yet as it’s too new :hmm Goodness knows what the price of animal feed will be this winter with the harvest being so odd this summer!

The stables my wife and daughter go to haven't had grass in the fields for weeks now. The keep taking hay in. There hasn't been a second cut from the fields around here so they price of hay is going to go up. If you can get it now cheap enough, I'd do it. Even the straw hasn't been great. It stopped growing early so its alot shorter and the yield isn't great.
