UK Member Please Say HI

Well the dark nights are here half six and it's pitch black. Can't wait till next week when it's dark even earlier and freezing if the weather forecasts are correct. :(
Wow we are a full 45 minutes later than that! Not looking forward to the really early nights again. I can't complain though - it was 30 last week, the weekend was mid 20s and glorious (I even got a little burnt when gardening ). A cool breeze started yesterday and while still hot in the sun the wind has a chill and we've even had to close our doors by late afternoon. Crazy though, we are normally heating by now, certainly at night and we've had but one fire weeks ago and purely because I was tired and it seemed like a cozy thing to do. I believe DH was actually in shorts and tshirt at the time :lau . We have no purchased all items for the new bathroom upstairs :wee:yaso am looking forward to not needing to go outside to use the bathroom this winter at some point!! Just need to get some other bits done downstairs in order to fit our new 2nd wood burner then we'll get going on that!!

It will definitely be better with an inhouse rather than an outhouse! I bet you'll be glad to get the house finished.

Sure will :ya:yaI have no idea what the previous owners who started renovations here were thinking :he:he a lot of the time - putting the bathroom in the lean-to bit outdoors being a prime example! We have heard that they were going to do their indoor one downstairs as well and just inside the same door you currently go out of so maybe they just wanted it as a summer bathroom (we all live out there for months). We are going to either try to get a door in (very tricky where it is located) or run a verandah around from the back door to the door of the bathroom AND put one in upstairs as well:lol: . Yesterday we managed to lime plaster (first layer) about 90% of the back entry area which looks so much better already!

I wonder if any of you can help me? I am trying to find pure oyster shells without grit or mixed at all for my flock but so far the only I can find has added grit (or is mixed) Any chance that any of you know of an online shop which sells pure oyster shells - either in the UK or ships to the UK?
