UK pigeon owners

Pics
They are such quirky little characters and sooo underrated!
Don't you think it takes extra brain power to be quirky? Take Boomer she has a mind and agenda of her own. Still chuckling over the visual of her going for the big food bin in the garage - guaranteed she has identified everything of interest to her in her surroundings. Wonder if she visits some other site of interest to her on her solo flights. It could be fun and educational to fit her with this device and be able to down load absolutley all the data from her trip.

The Aloha Pigeons channel on you tube has a good video demonstrating the device if you are interested. He has also used it in races getting cool information - route, airspeed, elevation, etc.

The price** doesn't seem as high as when I first looked... hmmmm...maybe a X-mas present to me.

**edit, On Amazon I find one set at $150 and another at $300, same vendor. Its not clear to me if one is used...

It was amazing to see them all flying together. It was boomer, squeak, bubble, Boris and lucky(the one with the broken leg). Unfortunately there is a sting in the tail, they all came back but lucky didn't come back into the loft. Instead he stayed sat on the roof. After about half an hour he flew off. He didn't go back to the person who found him and I fear he may have gone back to his original home. He does have a band with my number on but I have heard nothing. The trap has been left open to no avail.

This line I have used ALL my life.

It may give you comfort.
Remember this,,,,, You....:hugs.... Lucky.
You provided the healing. Now it was his choice.
Think how Boomer made his choice..... and started you on PIGEON MATH.:thumbsup

Thanks. That is why I want them all to be able to go out and fly together. Birds aren't meant to be in a cage. Maybe I'm pushing it to hard? I remember you saying that you train yours to return because they WANT to return. I totally agree. I'm not sure if he will come back here. I doubt it now. The others have always returned first thing the next day. I just wonder if he was paired and had been raced by the widowhood way. Idk. I just hope if he has gone back there they don't cull him. I hope he goes feral.

With all those extra feathers you may consider this as option. I posted this on another thread, but thought it was just right here as well.
