UK pigeon owners

I would not have expected the parent-of the sibling?- to be the attacker,...but my experience is limited. @Hokum Coco 's advice to separate the injured one(s) is sounding like the safest option.
The injured one has stayed out the way. It was the other. But since its gone onto the bottom there hasn't been any problems. I'm gonna keep a close eye on this. I think that give it another week and they'll hopefully be able to get out the way of each other alot easier. I didn't think pigeons could be like this!

Sorry for your experience with this. :hugs They really aren't as bad as chickens though...

Thanks. I'm sure it will be OK. I think the biggest problem I have is the close proximity of the nests and food. However I move it around it going to be close to someone else. I think when I can let them fly things will calm down. Just have to keep them away from the nests. This could be a perfect excuse to get a bigger loft!

Well I've just been out to lock all the animals up (its 10pm here) and the pigeon that went back to the bottom has got back up to the middle now! And the one that got hurt is sat on the edge looking out! The third one is sat on the bottom with mum who's on the nest with a plastic egg! The one in the middle is sat on three eggs, two real and one plastic!

Your next title can be "pigeon juggler" ;)

I only had it happen to me once. That happened when the alpha female of the loft lost her mate. Then the next alpha male took up with the merry widow. The next thing I new he evicted his first wife and scalped his own squab. Luckily this story had a happy ending for the most part until a weasel got in and killed every one of my birds in one attack.
