Umbillical cord still attached

My babies cord is stil attached, i know its normal but will the chicks peck at it or will it get infected if it stays on for too long, and how long should it be on there? They're all about a day old just minutes/hours away from eachother

I would separate him as an aggressive chick could start picking on that. It'll just dry up and fall off within a few hours or a day or so, but I wouldn't pull on it nor want chicks to either.

If you have another calm chick to put with him, that would keep him quiet for you.
