Unable to raise chicks they die after 2-3 weeks!

This is the place where i keep them i was using 100W bulb during winters now its pretty warm here so now i am keeping them without heating source. What you people say it is ok or should i do something else? Thanks for replying!

What is the Temperature in the room where you keep this cage ...

Are there any drafts in this room ...

And is there any smoke around them ....

its around 86 degrees temperature in the room and there is no smoke around them and there is no drafts in room. sometime me or my brother pick them for sometime as they are so cute <3. i let them come out of the cage for couple of hours inside the room so they can roam around. By the way the green chick and the white (small one) are looking lethargic and just standing not eating or drinking too much :(

AdilLucky I think maybe the poster/s above nailed it regarding food and not enough protein.

Can you boil up a couple of eggs and mash it up and feed it to the chicks? If they are dying from lack of protein that will be a good start.

Baby birds/chicks will often eat ANYTHING you feed them and then they either die or all of their bones will break if the diet did not have enough nutrition.

First of all e surroundings or living averment sound alright but do remember
to wash your hands before and after handling your chicks even if your hands
look clean to wash then as it makes a big difference and no kissing the chicks
for one it passes germs to the chick and yes I understand they are cute but
lets get them to grow up first .....

The only real problem I can see is protein and it needs to come from somewhere
and a chicken egg has every thing they need like niacin and all the vitamins and
protein ....

So I would recommend an egg in the morning and one in the evening and
please do not pick them up with out washing your hands .....

If you have any questions just ask .....

The next time you go to buy these chick, I'd ask them if they could get you some without color just in case the coloring is toxic. the above is great advice for protein. give them fresh water daily. When you get them, dip their beaks in the water so they will know where the water is.
What are you using for their bedding. If you have news papers, or any paper sack that isn't slippery would be great. That would be all you need. Can you also give them grit for chicks for their digestive system? Maybe they are getting too much stress from handling and moving the cage around a lot.

i start giving them boiled egg some of them eat themselves but 2 chicks are not eating so should i open their beak and put the mashed egg inside? i purchased amprolium hcl b.p usp 900gm dosage written on the bottle 1 gm per 8 liters. so i started giving it to two chicks separately as they are not eating and drinking much and one of them is looking kind of pale. as this is the first day of treatment no signs of recovery is seen they are just sleepy and standing closely not eating and drinking i dip their beak in water so that they drink it. Any experience using amprolium? is it normal that chick are sleepy all the time? Any dosage adjustment needed?

The picture of medicine i purchased

Thank you all for your replies and suggestions you people are so nice :)

If they are not eating the egg something is wrong with them as them chicks should be on the egg like a child on ice-cream
so yes put a little in the beak but just a little as it sounds like then chicks are going down hill fast and maybe take and make
some sugar water just for them and put a little on the beak of the non eaters every 20 minutes to see if they come around
at all .....

The chick that are eating the egg how are they moving sluggish or fast with a lot of energy ????

Chicks are just baby's and act the same sleep wake up use a lot of energy and take a nap to recharge
their little batteries ....

Follow the direction on the bottle to the letter as that medicine is very strong and I do believe it
is more for adult poultry not chicks so do not be afraid to dilute it by half ......

yes the chicks which are eating the eggs are very lively 2 of them are 6 days old and 2 are about 2 weeks they are eating drinking running here and there full of life :). the rest of two chicks around 1.5 weeks old are the ones ill so i'll dilute the solution. thank you so much!

one gone and the other one is on the way amprolium not working! sugar water, egg millet tried everything but he seems strength-less just sleepy heads down.

They need to be kept warm while they are sick. They cannot keep their body temperature. You can use empty rice sacks to line the bottom of the cage, change and wash this frequently. You should also try to put up some solid barrier around the wire frame so that the chick's don't catch a chill.
They will be okay, inshaallah
