Is it OK to feed chickens popcorn that hasn't yet been cooked/popped? I read somewhere that they love popcorn, but wasn't sure about cooking it or giving it raw.

I have no clue.. i guess they blot up? do chickens pass gas? i thought blot was something from that.. i really dont know.. i was told this tho.. so i didnt give them popped corn lol..

Ahhh - you mean bloat? Like gas in the belly?

I don't know about corn that has already been popped, but this would be just the raw hard kernels, no salt, butter, flavourings etc.... just plain ol' corn kernels they sell as "popping corn".

well i thought she meant bloat but she said blot so i thought blot was what they called it for chickens hahahha .. maybe she ment like you said with seasoning and butter.. who knows i just thought i would pipe in

Piping in is good - the more the merrier! I googled, but most of the responses I could find were along the lines of "they're only chickens, so who cares? Feed them whatever they will eat".

At least here I can get some proper advice. BYC rocks!
