That's quite a zoo you have going on there. (Housekeeping must keep you in overdrive.)

Yeah, yeast seems to follow antibiotics like Black Friday follows Thanksgiving. When I was young, an eternity ago, every time I got sick and had to have an antibiotic, a vaginal yeast infection occurred as predictably as Black Friday mayhem. I got to where I asked the doc for an anti-yeast script at the same time he prescribed the antibiotic.

So a yeasty crop wouldn't be the least bit surprising.

The first 4 pics are her healthy and happy sunbathing and being a dog. The last picture is her right now feeling down, and that is her incision right now it’s a tiny little scab! Her crop has been emptying nicely, i will double check it in the morning but up until now it has been emptying in the morning. She was on the baytril for I believe 10 days I had to stop because she completely lost her appetite and lost even more weight, the last day would have been around Jan 23. But her infection cleared up and her crop is looking really good. When I checked her temp her butt felt really hot and she seemed super bothered by me putting the thermometer in (more than usual) her poops are almost completely water right now. Could she be having an egg problem? I will rule out the crop for sure in the morning. I’ve also had a really hard time getting her back up to her usual weight, I feel she can’t afford to loose any more.

Is she eating the complete feed well?
Are you feeding treats daily?

I doubt she’s back to having laying hormones yet. Crop check in the morning will be telling. I used to offer eggs, live meal worms, corn on the cobb, or whatever it took to stimulate appetite in a hen not feeling well. But low and behold, I’ve learned what they really can’t resist and is loaded with nutrition is baby bird formula!

Normal body temp for a chicken is between 105 and 107F. Maybe she needs to go back on the antibiotic.

Have we discussed tube feeding? If she's underweight and refuses to eat, it may be necessary. I agree, she probably isn't having egg issues since she's underweight. But the slight temperature rise and the lethargic behavior point to the possibility of infection returning.

You may think an antibiotic will cure all on its own, but it relies on a chicken's own immune system to kick in some of the help. But if the chicken is not well nourished, the immune system isn't going to be running at top speed.

Consider tube feeding if she doesn't want to eat.

Ive definitely been giving her treats, she has been eating her feed but not very well so ive basically been letting her eat whatever she wants with hopes that she will put on some weight. Yeah I took a close look at her vent it looks normal to me very small lol but normal. Im definitely open to tube feeding, right now all she wants is meal worms and fruits and veggies. But I know she's not eating enough of those to really nourish herself. Would you recommend the baytril again? im kind of nervous to use it because she lost her appetite really bad while on it the first time ?
