update day 24-not good news

I just candled. No movement. I removed the egg from the pipped. It was dead as well. I don' t understand what happened. I guess they probally lost air in the air cell. When I candled just know I saw the porus look on most of the eggs. Could it had been a bacteria gettin in the egg? I am really bummed. Dh is letting me order some chicks this week, but I really wanted these white americaunas. I know I can probally get more eggs from the seller because she has a guarantee but now I wonder what the heck I did. Maybe I handled them too much. I don't know. Here I am crying over a bunch of dead eggs.

Oh my, I am so sorry for your loss! I am going through the same thing myself. My friend and I got some eggs from e-bay, mine were perfect! Hers had like 5 broken ones. I put them in the incubator things went great! Until day 21. Nothing. No peeping, rocking, pipping!!! That was the 25th. On the 28th I could hear peeping in the egg, later that night one finally pipped. So I call my friend to tell her the good news she had not 1 but 2 pipped eggs. The next morning (29th) the chick finally made it debut! Only to die 4 hours later!!

I candled them again and found that out of my 19 eggs 1 is still living. I still have hope for the little fella.

After my friend went home, another of hers pipped so she has had a total of 3 pipped eggs. This morning (30th) another of her chicks has hatched!

I will continue to run my incubator until I am 100% for sure that there are no survivors!

I am wishing you luck. Don't give up. Incubating is NOT an easy job! It is hard work.

BTW- The little guy that hatched out is doing great!

Thanks everyone this is really hard, i feel so responsible though. Thank you for all your support and Iwill post next week if something hatches. I think it was not enough humidity. Last night I could not get above 63%. I'm going to buy a better incubating system this week because I'm not done with this yet.

My shipped eggs looked great, but I only have 2 left out of 8. I am having a bit better luck with my farm bought eggs-10 out of 18. It is hard to have lost so many along the way, but it's my first hatch too. Maybe we will do better on out second.
