This is true.

I do hope she's not disappointed if she goes in and finds out the back ache isn't just simply that after being told it's labor, though.

(Not that most of us are doctors. Just play them on the internet.

I think we are mostly being optimistic. Because if it isn't labor and the baby isn't moving, she should already be at the doctor's office.

Besides, isn't it a right of passage that you have to run to the hospital 3 times sure you are in labor only to be sent home again before it finally being the real thing?

Combination of being a week 3 Cm'ers and 90% effaced and NOW cramping ( like mentrual cramps ) and back pain , sounds like the good dr. needs to be made aware of these changes . As for movement , the baby will hardly move at all during labor .

Keep us posted and good luck .

(I went to the hospital 1 time early with one child, but other than preterm labor, that was it until the "real" thing. Of course, my water broke with 3 of the 4, too.

Withh my son I had random contractions for 3 days it was okay during the day but at night I did not sleep well so running on a lack of sleep on the 4th day I woke had to go to the bath room (I wear glasses) so I am in there I look out and see something on the floor it was a trail of blood I discovered when I wiped I would have seen that if my glasses where on. I called the doctor he said about time! We got there at 7amish no study contractions never had study ones the blood was my son riping through my cievic
He was born at 10:09am and weight was 9:10 all was fine!

Its not the back pain im so worried about, I have never had back pain like this and I do think its somthing different than just a pain but not 100% sure its labor. It's the baby not being active that worries me !!

I understand. It is normal for them to slow down later in pregnancy. Definitely call your dr. if you have concerns, no doubt.

Meanwhile, try drinking some OJ and laying on your left side...maybe even poking him a little to see if he'll poke back.

DO NOT be concerned about that . Its normal for the baby to move less as he sinks deeper into the birth canal .. NO room for him to move . BUT , to reassure yourself , and be on the safe side ( just incase ) call your dr. or call labor and delivery and speak to them ...
