UPDATE WITH PICS-Post #68: Ordering on Amazon.com. Have you?

I love Amazon! They are great about returning products even if the vendor does not stand behind the products. Most products ship free if you spend more than 25.00 (search the same product and you can almost always find one that has the free shipping option) Their prices are very competitive but if I question a price I just add it to my shopping cart and wait and most times I will get a notification the price has decreased etc. Their shipping is super speedy other than this time of year it can take the full 10 days like they say but during non seasonal months it arrives usually in 3 days without paying for fast shipping. Their book prices are usually hard to beat at least in my area. Have fun shopping, I just got my last box a week ago from them!

Have for year--2/3rds of our Christmas presents came from there plus gift cards for books and music downloads. I even buy their yearly "free delivery" option that for one fee gets you year 'round free postage/shipping on items they sell. I know it saves me money. They have my credit card on file and I buy with one click option--lets you make an order in 60 secs or less. Like someone else said, returning is a snap too.

My order always arrives so quickly it seems as tho they were sitting, waiting for me to order and shipped it immediately. Never a problem. Ever.

I ditto all of the above.

I've ordered from Amazon many times. Their prices are competitive and often cheaper than other places. You can find almost anything.

The only warning I'd give is to watch shipping costs. If you order items that do NOT qualify for Super Saver shipping, and you have multiple items, they may ship from different companies. When this is the case, each company will charge their own shipping, and you could get hit for much more than you intended. This happened to DH once when he placed an order for about 8 different items. Now we try to get Super Saver shipping or use as few shipping companies as possible.

I've ordered many things from Amazon and no problems. As far as books go though I have found a really good site, Better World Books. The most recent order from them was for 20 books. They are mainly a book rescue, most of the books are from libraries and other places that might have just tossed them into a garbage bin. I'm just passing along my thoughts on this since books from Amazon were mentioned, not trying to advertise for them.
