There are variations in colors. Grays can be a very light gray or a dark gray and there are different tones of colors. Same with the blues , this is a very light colored blue smooth breasted female.

Not much to add but That I agree with above comments that the splash may be a splash or go all white. I have had some splashes, and mine are dark, lot of blue/indigo feathers with the white. I LOVE THEM! I only have one now, and I'm kicking myself for selling the others! The one I have kept, Zen, is a checkerboard pattern. These pics are at one year old, just feathering out and the last one in October. This year his feathering is longer, he also goes more dark blue in the fall. The feathers on his back are really unique-I'll try to get a current picture this week. I realize that historically all of these colors (white with color except saddleback), have not been considered desirable in the breed, but guess what! I think they are beautiful!

The bird by Banter looks to have feathers that are solidly colored OR white. And very wide.

The young bird by Jordan Family has feathers that are tipped or shaded, not solidly one thing or the other, which is one clue to the idea of his eventually turning white. Juvenile Sebastopols of either sex can have very gray rumps but this youngster has shaded back and secondary wing feathers which is not the usual juvenile color showing through on the rump. It could be real interesting to just watch and wait and see. When in doubt grow 'em out.

Well it is definately a male... And it is diferent in color then the whites... He use to be more buff colored when he was younger and the white has started comming in more... He was a totattaly different color when I first got them from Dorthy. She had him marked on his neck with red paint and said he was the buff in the group... In person it looks more tan then blue... But just don't know what to call him since he has so much white now??? He was more tan in his yellow when he was a baby and looked different then the white...
