URGENT Advise from all your lovely guys here!!

I am in the UK so what is Polyisol?

I have erratically got her to eat corn but she has decided against that now. I am going to try porridge oats and see how she gets on with that.

Other things i'e tried
Bread
corn and maize dried mix
layers pelletts
Scrambled egg
cut corn
corn on the cob
lettuce
pineapple

I have also given her some multivitamin formula today.
Also when should i stop giving her food? Should her crop be bulging or could i get away with half full? She's sleeping alot at the moment and any poo is green and runny with a good amount of white in it.

Last time one of my chickens went off food i lost her. Just trying my best for this not to happen again!

Polyisol is a liquid childrens vitamin, seems though you might have something similar in the UK. I don't know how full the crop should be. I am usually happy just to get some food going into them. Her droppings should turn less green when she is getting enough food through her. Real bright green is lack of enough food.

I know it is flustrating, but you are doing well. Just keep trying different things and see if she shows any interest. Cooked peas, maybe? and the porridge oats sound like good idea. The more mushy it is the easier it might be for her to digest.

Just give it your best shot, it is all a learning process and many times they will surprise you and come around just fine.

Porridge didnt go so well pecked at it a bit then got fed up.
Husband is fighting with canned corn again now. Easier to force feed. Her crop is 1/4 full but dont want to over do it

I am convinced that she isnt parlysed. holding her up she moves her feet as if she is walking we're obviously holding her up top and bottom. I wouldnt have thought that she could do this if she had mareks.

Thankfully my husbands weekend starts on sunday so he can watch over her monday and tuesday. I hope she has picked up by then or at least eating for herself.

Randomly she has had some muller light raspberry and cranbury yoghurt a few scoops any way!

Well we have her inside now in her own little coop with clean woodshavings. Hopefully a little bit of warmth and multiitamins will see her through.

This is so heartbraking - why do we do this to ourselves??

Thanks i'll try thhat. Well the poo is a darker green with some brown and plenty of white! Woke up this morning and there was a very small amount in her crop not sure if it was from last night or whether she ate her self.

Leg seems to be extremly weak still but i am focusing on keeping her still and getting food intake up first.

Thanks everyone, i'll keep you posted. still not sure whats wrong with her tho!

poo is still a little green but more binded now. she is feeling sorry for herself still and not holding her head up much. Still not eating on her own.

Completely unable to sit up or walk as so weak but she is looking alot perkier

Still no idea whats wrong mind you. I am giving her leg massages!!

Does she have a replacement roost, such as a 2x4 or 4x4 in her recuperative cage? On the bedding...

Also might help for her to have some aspirin (375 mg in 1 gallon water, no substitutes) if she will drink. This to help with inflammation.

She sounds quite miserable and I know you're doing your best to cope. Droppings sound improved. With pain and digestive situation it may take a while to gain a lot of progress.

She doesnt roost has always sat down. i have her on a pillow in the house. The grab reflex has gone in two toes and coming and going in another toe. I will definatley try the asprin.

She seems scared to eat almost like she wants to but cant.

Almost like when you've got food poisoning you want food but you know the results will be dire!!

How do you know if they are in pain?

has anyone had experience with Mycoplasma synoviae? i'm not sure if she has this?

I'd suggest Marek's Disease, but if it's swollen it's some sort of injury, infection or one of those lovely viruses that affect the joints.

Mycoplasma synovae is not common for backyard chickeners. Do you show your chickens?

Give her hypericum, it will treat any possible pain or numbness (go to my website linked in my sig poultry health > supportive therapy > half way down the page under "Fresh Greens and Homeopathic Remedies"
