Urgent - Duck attacked by hawk, wounded on head

I will see what I can do - today she touched her food so I will wait one more day to see if she will eat. I will weigh her - but I don't know her original weight. I think the last time I weighed them is an year ago

Just going give the opposing view here. It seems like your duck is doing fine, and thank goodness for that. She's eating. As long as she's eating something and getting hydration I would leave her alone. Would you want to be that duck, already injured, being tube fed? By someone who is just learning to do it? Me either. The last thing I would want to do at this point is stress her. She seems do be doing really well considering everything the poor thing has been through.

Thank you for your opinion :) I wasn't planning on tube feeding unless there is absolutely no other way, like you said I don't want to stress her out and she is eating something and drinking well.

Miss Lydia, on that scale I think she is probably a 3... even though I'm not really sure where that cross section is taken and how it compares (I'll try to get a picture of her)... she looks like she is at a healthy weight and no signs of weight loss.

Like I said earlier, I'm going to wait a day or two in hopes she will be back to normal. Again, thank you so much to everyone for all of your help :)

The cross section is middle of the keel/breastbone... as long as she has good muscle still on both sides, she *should* be ok... getting her weight now and monitoring it will help a lot... if she starts losing weight, she can lose it very fast...

Tubing is not stressful, definitely not as stressful as not getting enough nutrition while injured... and I know it sounds scary, but it is actually super easy... first time is hardest for a person to do, but once you do it once you'll see how easy it is and how much it helps them recover... any vet will tube feed if patient hasn't been eating their proper diet... j/s...
