URGENT-- frozen feet!

Pics
New chick set up, hopefully vastly superior to the crate. Includes a nice and wide log to climb on, that they LOVE.

Much better. Settled down on their log, feeder and waterer in place, and a few meal worms scattered about. This should help consolidate the manure all in one area for easy cleaning, and keep the feet a little cleaner. Plus, I think the elevated position is good for their mental health. The log is wide enough, and has a tapering small end, that it is easy to get onto and sit on--no gripping with toes needed.

Looks great Dona!

I never thought about not being able to see through the blue! Good to know for future reference... I’ve only had chickens for nine months and fortunately, haven’t had any major injuries yet (knock on wood I won’t for a while either!).
BluKote is good stuff, I keep it on hand for minor cuts, etc. but if it's something I want to be able to "look at" then I'll use something else.
