I have nearly 7 week old chicks and one is barely alive. This chick was recently attacked by the cockerel so I separated mum and chicks from him. He killed one chick and left another two with wounds on their necks. One chick is fine and this one was doing good too until I went to check on them today. When i put the food down mother hen and all the other chicks went to eat but this chick was left lying on it’s side. I put it in a cardboard box where it stood up and started eating and drinking so I had hope. As soon as I put it back it fell over and couldnt get up so I’ve got it back in a box. It’s now inside in the warm. I’ve drop fed it some water with chicken vitamins dissolved in it. It’s now just lying in the box on its side, can’t keep its eyes open but occasionally cheeps and stretches it’s wing. It’s still breathing but when I pick it up it’s neck flops back. If it’s worth mentioning, this chick hatched with wry neck but that seemingly went away with additional vitamins after a few days (I continued putting vitamins in the water for a month after). Please help, I don’t want to give up on the chick yet!
