URGENT~ please help us save the kangaroos~ petition/NEWS!!!

Whoa lets consider the facts here guys.
1.The kangaroos are starving to death due to over population and lack of feed due to lack of rain.
2. The cost to move these roos was estimated at $3000 each.
3. they want to move them to A roperty in Braidwood but there is nothing to stop these roos moving onto any other property in the area which is also under drought conditions itself and has little feed for stock and their OWN population of roos and wallabies.
4.Reloctaing these roos to another area as a significant impact on the local popultaions and could indroduce diseases and pests.
5.The population as grown out of control as there are no predetors to thin them down and seeing kangaroos are pregnant all the time they reproduce a VERY rapid rate.
*kangaroo females can have 3 babies as once due to the fact that they can have an embryo in "suspended animation" until the pouch young is the ground.
They also have a young baby on the ground.
I stand by the facts and the facts speak for themselves.
Starving is a horrible way to die and so is being shot but these roos WILL be euthenized humanly with an injection similar to the ones used on dogs.
Considering we are about to go into our very freezing Canberra winter i think now is the perfect time to do it and in the spring we will see a much healthier happier population of roos and baby joeys hopping around our paddocks

where did you get the $3000 figure from, Are they travelling Platinum class??? I am in wildcare and know the people personally who own this property, it is huge and they are welcome there. Theres no drought in Braidwood.

Ugh, I hate these kinds of situations! I LOVE animals, but this issue seems like our white tailed deer issue over here in the states. Sometimes hunting these animals humanely is the only way to solve certain problems. I just hate to see it happen when the overpopulation is largely due to human fault!!
No Helen i dont hunt them or any creature and have in the past fostered joeys.
But they are facing a far worse demise if left in the 116 hectres they are in.
There are WAY too many roos for that small area and simply not enough room or feed.
Oh another fact the transportaion of the adults to the area proposed will very likey kill a percentage due to stress and in the following weeks more will die as they simply cannot fathome where the hell they are and will find it diffucult to find the local water supplies and "safe areas" away from local wild dogs and hunters

I thought kangaroos over there were like deer here. My SO was an exchange student over there for a while, and I remember him saying one of the biggest problems was the overwhelming kangaroo populations. He brought me back a kangaroo skin, it was so sweet

Each to their own!!!
Those who shoot animals ands those who dont!
If they are in a drought area they do hold off on the birthrate.
They were there first.
They are going to build more houses there anyway, so as in the rest of the world, the animals die in exchange for development.

We aren't rounding up deer for mass slaughter here. It's my understanding that in some parts of the country where habitat has been encroached on wildlife management has been looking into population control through some alternative methods, such as birth control darts and feed, but we aren't doing this anywhere in this country.
In my area we have a good wildlife management system. We have well managed hunting seasons and the population seems under control.
