it sounds like her mucous plug has come out. After the plug comes out, labor can start within 24-72 hours.

Not sure if it has already been suggested or not, so here it goes :

We breed mini schnauzers, and have had 5 successful litters. When our female is slow on going in to labor, we
"Walk Her Into Labor".

Its what some doctors do to get human patients to go into labor faster.
It has worked for us a few times, it may work for you.

Hope I didnt get this to you too late, its worth a shot!

My vet said not to worry when I thought my grump was in labor. He said just bring her in tomorrow. At midnight I told him I'd meet him at the office and if he wasn't there I'd drive through his wall and help her myself.

He came. There was a puppy stuck. grump and all nine pups would have died by morning. Wait is fine if you don't mind losing the dog. It's not your vets dog. The people who say let nature take it's coarse don't seem to understand how many canids die in whelp every year. And they die all the time. The survivors make more. But this is your pet. It's your one. It actually matters to you that your one survives. It doesn't matter to nature, to your vet or to someone on the internet if your one dies.

If I hadn't made my vet show up, I'd have lost Tanis and her entire litter by morning.

Your thermometer is fine. If her temps stays below 98 then she should deliver with 12 hours.

Yup

We were shopping and came back shes had lots of fluid coming from her vaginal area. She went in the box, nested and out poped 1 puppy. !5 mins later, another!!! Im waiting for the rest
