Used Coop Opportunity

Oh wow, that's more like 8 feet wide, isn't it? Someone's armspan is generally about their height, so I'm guesstimating from there. Should be plenty of room for chickens, and for some very high roosts if they want.

@so lucky , who said that about wasps? I've never heard that sky blue will deter them, but it'd be good to know.

Yup, already on the property, final positioning will have to wait a bit and then I get to start making modifications!
Looks very sound, could work for a coop...and a table saw too!!
What's on the back...looks like another piece of clear corrugated?

May be an old wives tale, but supposedly a blue ceilings on porches will keep them from building nests....because they think it's the sky and not shelter? Will keep the haints away too!

It looks like it will make a very nice coop. From the pictures the wood looks to be in great condition and not to be that old. It also look like it has the clear corrugated for the roof so you already have light coming in too. I would also cut some windows in it. It looks like you are going to have a fun project. Good luck and have fun...

Eh, one of the frequent posters here, who said their father in law was a long time service member whose job it was to maintain buildings on base. F-I-L said the sky blue looked like sky to the wasp, and they wouldn't try to build on "sky". He had used that method for years.

Because of the post about wasps I decided to paint my ceiling and overhangs sky blue. Since I was using an interior combo paint and primer on the walls I decided why not just tint that and paint the whole deal sky blue? Of course I then discovered there are about a dozen or more shades of sky blue!!! I settled on Billow. If it doesn't keep wasps away, meh, at least its pretty, if not a bit overwhelming!

Score !!
plenty tall, maybe make a ceiling and make part of the top part into a pigeon pen ?
for lots of light, remove about a foot of siding along the top and all the way along one long side.. then cover the slot with semi transparent corrigated siding..
