I just need to vent! My chicks were shipped out on the 20th. I began tracking them almost immediately. Was concerned from the very beginning as the tracking gave a date for delivery on the 24th! That is 4 days for these babies to be without food or water and being moved around in cold temps. This morning I was hoping that they would arrive today - day 3. When I went to the USPS tracking site, they had arrived in Syracuse (35 miles away) last night. Then, of all things and God only knows why, USPS loaded them on a truck and sent them 90 miles south to Binghamton! Why? Who is in charge of logistics? The postal office that receives my packages is in Utica. Why send them south and add an entire day to their arrival! I am so afraid I will get a box of dead chicks. So frustrated because this is all out of my control. I just want to shake someone. I don't care who...just someone that wears that postal service patch.
