Love that one....Baby goats are the best!!! I am getting antsy for my kids to start coming.

Cynthia, my leghorn EE is laying almost everyday... eggs are definitely passing the pullet stage now and almost large...

I made a page of the water heaters DH helped me make to keep the waterers from freezing, for any of you that are interested... They have been working like a charm!!

Got Toby's box back today. I really like how it turned out. The color looks darker in the photo, it's a light color that Grizz's box. And, it is a smaller box! Grizz was huge. Toby probably weighed a good 10 lbs. less than Grizz. Grizz was husky big, not fat..I'm careful with weight on my dogs. Toby was taller, and had a lot thinner build. Good weight though for his build.



This picture shows the true color better..it's lighter than other.

Then there's little Miss grumpy while in the nest box! She fluffed up and screamed at me
as I took her egg away. Had to hurry and get the camera..just walked into the coop, and
she did it again. Still mad at me I guess. Dallooras..also getting a nice egg from her.
Getting bigger all the time.

Another shot..she's a pretty girl. Sweet when she isn't on the nest box too!

I am very sorry to say our decrow number 1 did not work. I brought the boy home today as he had not crowed at the clinic. He started crowing normally when I pulled in my driveway, Dang it. Not sure if he will be consumed ot reoperated on. more to come

Oh my gosh. I didn't even know until now that this had happened. How horrible!

I have been sick to my stomach all day over this. I can't imagine what those parents are going through. I am glad the gunman was killed and I just wish the teachers had been armed and could have killed that SOB before he killed so many. I wish that more people were armed like they are in Switzerland where every citizen carries a gun. I think things like this could have been prevented.

amen. i know so many schools are putting in lots of fancy scaners and camera equipment and all these other fancy objects but i know from my experience from working in schools doing custodial/security for so long is it is so easy to get around all these security objects and its easy to figure out too. most of these security devices are more for show. and then there are things like the portable classrooms that would be even more easy to get into. i will not get into the gun debate on here other than saying i agree with you. i feel so bad for those hurt by this
