You could probably splint the wing (take some vet wrap, tuck the wing up next to the body, and with the other wing free, wrap the wing to the body), make sure it gets enough water, and warmth. You could take it to your local shelter.... they may take it in. I would offer to take it for you... but I won't be able to drive to Lehi to get it I'm in Springville if you wanted to come drop it off, I'd be more than willing to help out.So i had a broody silkie hen sitting on three eggs that was going to hatch at different days. Momo (for all the newbies Momo is my bantam EE and is a egg hatching freak) decided she was going broody again. In 24 hours she took over the eggs and hatched a chick. I have since moved her to a different area with the chick. The other 2 eggs i put back under the silkie and one is hatching right now. 1 egg is gone and i have a sick feeling my son collected it and gave it to a customer that bought some for eating. So i probable lost that customer. But anyhow my little Momo is very protective of her chicks and tonight i went out to check on her and found a dove in the run with a hurt wing. I think she might have broken it. Does anyone know what to do with a hurt dove. If i leave it in the run the cats will kill it. And 1 dove doesn't feed a family of 9. If any one wants it to try to help it so it can get better i will catch it and give it to you.
I'll pm you my cell
