Cynthia, what's bad is that that isn't the first time I have substituted chicken verbage into everyday use.

Somehow I missed that your lav passed. I'm glad that she went out peacefully, though. Don't feel bad about feeling relieved. I would feel the same way, had it been one of my birds. Just knowing that they don't have to suffer any more is a huge relief.
So, switching gears a bit, I'm sorry to inundate you all with turkey pictures (well, not really)

Turkeys like to drink from the hose. Who knew?

Hey, Mom? When did we plant poultry in the lettuce pot? Although, that would explain why the lettuce disappeared....

The three BR's. The foremost there is Lenny (a spoof on 'lean') I looked him over today. He's got the whole Quasimodo thing going on, but he's finally starting to calm down when I touch him. These three and the turkeys follow me everywhere in the yard. If I go inside, they camp out on the doorstep and wait for me to come back. I walked out in the garden with them today and showed them where some bugs were. They thought it was great. And then the turkeys decided to 'share' the peach I was eating. Oh brother
