Valentine's Day Hatch!!!

GQF Genesis 1588 Hovabator for me. It's my first incubation in it since i switched from my old forced air LG and so far everything as been PERFECT! Holding 99.3 to 99.6 perfectly!

I think I said before but it is a gifted LG with egg turner and we added a pc fan we had laying around the house. We are holding at 99.9. I am dying for it to be next Sunday so I can candle and see what if anything is going on in there. I saw my big blue roo doing the deed today with my black orp hen so heres to hoping.

Alright! All the eggs are in and settled now - Got about 17 eggs in there, from Easter Egger / Silver Laced Wyandotte crosses to Easter Egger / Brahma crosses to simply pure bred New Hampshires and Easter Eggers. They should be due right after Valentine's!

Personally, I use a still-air incubator. Not all that big and was nice and cheap, but it works so far.

I have two LGs
#1 has Thermo Fan and Egg Turner (holds 42 eggs)
#2 has none, using as a hatcher.

I have 2 Brower 846s (100 egg model)
No Turners, no Fans
# 1 Brower Wafer unit is Bad - Temp over 120 adjustment useless.
# 2 Brower in greenhouse- untried

I think I am going to order a new Wafer unit, as the #1 gets hot, so it works. After that I may try to hatch a day or 2's worth of collected eggs and add the chicks to the Laying Flock.

they will be
Light Brahma Roo

Hens
4 Light Brahma
5 Barred Rock
1 EE
2 New Hampshire
23 Black Sex Link

I get between 20-32 eggs a day, so I could double my laying flock in less than 6 months.
