Vegetable's/fruit Quail Shouldn't eat

So I have been giving my Quail leftover lettuces when ever we have them, but I was wondering if there is anything I shouldn't give them. We always have so many extra vegetables/fruits that start to go bad. Usually I throw them in the compost, but if I could feed the quail before putting it there that would be great. I know avocado is something that go's bad alot in the house that is full of protein I would guess its good for them but have no idea.

You'll want to avoid avocado. There is something in them that is toxic to birds. I've also read that spinach is bad because it blocks the absorption of calcium. But also read that's not true. I avoid it just to be safe. Apple is good but try not to let them eat the seeds. Can't think of any other fruits or veggies to avoid right now.
