**verdict in post 64* ANOTHER UPDATE POST 101 101

I know redhen i feel the same way...

the way the advocate said it kinda sums it up... these lawyers can sleep at night cause they know its not their kids.... they know where they all live and stay away from those neighborhoods.. and lets face it.. if they re-offend that means more money for them.. cause a happy customer is a repeat customer!

When the defense goes after a witness, especially a child, it can come back to bite them in a big way. Nobody wants to see the victim tortured again...

my son was 9-10 years old at the time of the crime... he came forward when he was 15... he is now 18... I hope the jury sees him as the 10 year old boy and not the 18 year old young man

I know...
And you said this guy got away with this before??
Can the jury be told that info?? Probably not... *sigh*

nope the jury cant be told anything of his past unless HE brings it up in court and then its fair game

Day 3 update:

well he is finished on the stand.... the defense SLAMMED him today.... the Crown said and I quote "what happened?... you were a train wreck!"... BUT the court reporter and the court clerk said he did great.. and they are seeing this with fresh eyes like the jury... they dont know that facts like the crown attorney does

the defense was really hard on him this morning... being very brash and sarcastic and down right crude... the jurors did not like this... I hope that the younger members of the jury went home and googled the accused and i hope the older members watch the evening news and are aware of the prolific problem of these sickos.

Sorry if I am depressing everyone... I know I am airing lot of dirty laundry here but you guys are my pep talk right now. I cant talk to hubby cause my other kids dont know whats happenedso we have to be careful what gets said... and the fact he is on afternoons and i am in bed when he gets home... and my friend cries half the time when she hears me vent cause she is sooooo worried.. so I am using everyone of you as a support system right now...

Hmmm... makes me wonder about that defense attorney... why would they want this person back on the street and with THEIR name in their heads? Maybe because they're the same ilk... anyone who can attack a child, verbally or physically, I don't want to be around.

I know that's what they're paid to do but still... if you're paid to kill someone does it make it any less a killing? No, so why is being paid to verbally abuse a child considered such a great thing? Boggles me, it really does.

Glad you guys are done with your parts and hoping for a guilty verdict...

she (the defense) attacked him hoping to make him angry.... she is also treating him as an 18 year old... not the 10 year old boy who was assaulted .. she is trying to distract the jury from the part he was a little boy.. and see him as a young man
