OOh i hope she meets that guy in a dark alley one night.. if he gets free because of her...
THEN she'll see how sick he is..

Sadly enough, I don't think "she" has to worry about this kind of guy. My thoughts are with you. I applaud your son for his courage, and I hope that this guy gets burnt. Predators are and will continue to be predators. I vote for isolation not so called rehabilitation.

I've been on a big jury trial before. We actually had three defendants at once, all facing various charges, some the same, some different. It was a different kind of case than what it sounds like you are facing, but I can tell you that the jury DOES notice when lawyers attack. Something I learned while on debate at school: People who don't have a valid point will often attack and distract. Sounds like that lawyer is scrambling to me.

Still praying.

Day 4:

The defense had their one and only witness on the stand today.... HE BOMBED!!!!!
ya.gif

he admitted to everything that we said ... EXCEPT for the actual charges

he admitted to being alone and the events my son described right up to the assaults

he said he hardly knew us but then in the next breath said he was at our house every week if not 2X a week

he said when we went out to dinner we all crammed into my family vehicle ... he said it was a mini van when in fact the mini van was bought over a year after we moved to the new location (when he was in our life we had a dodge neon.. and 2 kids.. not likely we are all fitting in with a car seat for one of the kids)

he left himself wayyy open to make someone ask questions... his story just does not add up... I hope the jury sees this through the eyes of a 10 year old and not the 18 year old man he is today

we are expecting the judge to give the jury final instructions on tuesday

I agree.. Rehabiliation is VERY rare for these people...
I'm all for them never ever seeing daylight again.. ever. One offense... thats it... your locked away till your dead...

Redhen was being nice there, I agree though. One offense and it should be over for them. The not so nice result for these people is not family friendly but what they do really deserves it. Too bad we cannot ensure they all get what they really deserve.

Hugs and prayers. I hope it will be a guilty verdict. If not, well I hope someone will punish him.
