Good rooster. I loved it when the hens ran in to help, haha. I wonder how the hawk got into the pen in the first place, it looked pretty secure!

I saw a video on Facebook in one of the chicken groups a week or so ago with a broody hen and very young chicks attacking a Changeable Hawk Eagle (me guessing on species). She seemed to be a feral game-type chicken and she was quite fierce.

I'll have to look it up to see if I can find it again. It almost seemed like it was part of a documentary.
