Some drakes with enough females can live together fine with just one being the most dominant it rarely happens with Muscovy's they are fighters.

I love that Muscovy are tough and can take care of themselves - but hate that they use their powerful wings against each other.

Some drakes with enough females can live together fine with just one being the most dominant it rarely happens with Muscovy's they are fighters.

This morning (Day 2 of obvious aggression between our 2 drakes) things to have settled down. The direct "wrestling" has given way to more displaying, brief chases and tail nipping. It seems Piglet may have acquiesced to Angus' desire to be the dominant drake. The chasing inside the run and duckhouse is concerning, as there is not as much space, but they all slept together in the duckhouse last night with the door to the run open. We'll continue to watch.

Our two boys have settled down to mostly posturing, although Angus (green head) is clearly top duck now.

I always feel sad for the under duck.

They are all so pretty, glad fighting has slowed down.
