Dot is still broody. I don't put my chickens in a broody buster or anything like that. I just keep them off their favorite nest and within a few days they're broke I tried the broody buster with Spice, a Mille Fuer hen and she went crazy. HATED it. So I blocked off the nest box and she went around like a normal chicken but still made broody sounds. Dot doesn't walk around. She sits in front of the nest and pretends there are eggs under her.
Also, she is not mean when she is not in the nest.

Dot is still broody, mom keeps letting her back on the nest.

My blue chick, Huckleberry, looks like it is barred.

None of the other blue chicks look this way. She has more barring than the barred chicks right now,

Yah, and yah, Dot is a very determined broody. It's hard to keep her out of the nest box when other chickens have to use them

When I got home and checked on the chicks raspberry was laying on the ground gasping for air! It's the same thing chickie was doing!

I'm pretty sure she is going to die, why are they dying?!

Oh my gosh!im so sorry!how is she doing?is the heat lamp to warm maybe?

It was 91, a little warm. But no, she is doing same thing the first chick was doing.
