Dot is still broody.

Mom contacted the guy that wants the Cochin chicks, he has a fox problem right now and wants us to contact him in two weeks. *UGH*

No, muffin couldn't have gotten pecked in the eye because she is always in her own cage/pen. She is alone because either the big chickens are super mean to her or she is mean to the young ones. Meaner than normal

So I have these wire fences that I made which is just a length of wire and then I connect the ends to make a circle and move it anywhere.
Well, some sort of animal has been coming and knocking down/flattening the fences. The other night the trash can was tipped over and there was a hole ripped in one of the trash bags. I don't know what this animal is or why it is knocking down fences or if it's the same on that tipped the trash can over. I hope it doesn't like chicken.

Haven't posted in a while...
Dot is still broody. Marshmallow has been acting funny. She has been overly scared lately. She has always jumped at random things but now it's worse. I wonder if she is loosing her sight or hearing.

The chicks are doing fine

Huckleberry is turning out to be a pretty nice rooster, not as freindly as the pullets but he lets me catch him. Next March I want to hatch some of him and marshmallows babies, hopefully they'll be as fluffy as marshmallow.

I put an ad on Craigslist for 3 of my year-old bantam hens a couple days ago. Someone contacted me and said they want them and they're going to take a rooster too. They're coming tomorrow

Turns out there are TWO poeple that want the bantam hens and I thought they were the same person.

I got a really good pic of night and Hawk just now. I might be selling them.

Acorn, and Hawk today. Hawk hasn't left yet. He will go after I show him at the fair.

All of the hens together. I miss Acorn

But I have to make room for new chickens. I will miss Hawk even more when he goes.

Hey guys! My phone broke a few days ago and I just got a new one!

Tomorrow we are taking Hawk and Almond to the fair along with our two horses Cherokee (mine), and Cocklebur (my sisters).

I think Dot will stop being broody soon. She has given up sitting on the nest but walks around making broody noises.

Marshmallow is good, a little dirty, she gets along well with the Cochin chicks I'm keeping. All the roosters try to mate her. Did I say that the guy who wants the little Roos can't take them right now because he has a fox problem?

Night layed her first egg today!

I showed hawk today. I didn't get anything in showmanship and in Barnyard flock turns out you were supposed to have three chickens. So all I got was a blue ribbon. The judge said to bring them back next year. Well, they're going to new homes tomorrow so...
