Maybe they should just sell them as walnuts, without trying to convince people that they are a miracle food.

ETA: Just think how much money they could save, on the printing of each bag, if they'd leave all those health claims off....Just a plain bag, with the company label and the product name. Besides, probably 1 in 50 people would even give a flip about the nutritional content.

A year or two ago the FDA was going after the cereal companies that were making claims about their products lowering cholesterol... I think they ended up wording it differently to appease the FDA. I kind of agree with it... if the FDA didn't intervene, these companies would make all sorts of unsubstantiated claims.
