Did you accidentally eat something contaminated or cross-contaminated?
BTW- These days they have been messin with the corn so bad that it can wreak havoc on the gluten intolerant and celiacs....a LOT of my families that decided to put their kids on GFCF diet  ran over and swapped everything to corn, then found it was even worse.....:barnie

Not sure....I am very careful cuz every exposure to wheat is more & more violent to the point where I am incapacitated & struggle to even breathe.......so I have diphrenhydramine & an epi pen~~~~~~~~~~~~but this is a more subtle exposure that is going on...

I was reading hand-soap bottles the other day (to avoid sunflower seed oil) and was startled to see "wheat flour and wheat germ oil" 2/3 of the way down the list of tiny print.

Got my hovabator set up on a nightstand in the corner of my room.... I thought about setting it up in the living room then I thought better of it. My 3 year old would find his way to PLAY with the eggs... He sure loves his chickens. Tomorrow I am gonna get a thermometer to place inside. I think I am just as excited as the kids are to hatch eggs. I cant wait! I also cant wait to FINALLY meet everyone from BYC after over a year of chatting it will be fun to put a face/name with your BYC names.
Be sure they do not have access and decide to turn any knobs !

CL and 4-H I will try and see if I can bring my soap to the show not sure if it will happen want to take a smaller car not the big truck.

Im glad I dont show chickens you all are going to have so much fun getting your birds ready..

What, you missed my (thirty, 300-500 year old) oak trees?

Dryish bits of the Salish Sea as far north as Savary Island have Garry Oak. Anyone who feels really brave, I have a couple in my flower beds that could be dug out in the next three or four weeks.
Oh yeah I remember last year that huge brance busted halfway off one of your oaks...scarey !

Meh

I moved both the broody pen/run and the hoop house yesterday and as a result have low-back muscle spasms today, and yet this is my 100% guaranteed must check cattle day (they get a big round bale every other day, so my sister checks them then; when I feel up to it I check once on her day and twice on mine. Amazing how much walking can happen on forty acres to cast eye on thirteen cows.

I might be in better shape than I think, because it is possible that I failed to take my aspirin when I took it out. This is why I should wait to be actually awake before I take painkillers, no?

Still haven't put my roosters on craigslist. Best do that now.

hi, all! I'm in Brown's Point. I'm trying to update my profile with location and m coop, but the bar just sits and works on "please wait". Any suggestions?
Not sure, but sometimes newbies have to have a certain amount of posts before they can proceed to "the next step"..just keep posting & hang in there, and welcome !

I was reading hand-soap bottles the other day (to avoid sunflower seed oil) and was startled to see "wheat flour and wheat germ oil" 2/3 of the way down the list of tiny print.
I was tested just a month ago for hundreds of allergens (skin tests) and the allergy doc (Joel Black in Olympia) said I would not have a reaction to wheat germ oil on my skin, not the same as ingesting it and having it inside where my immunal system can 'see' it and go bonkers.
Even still, I avoid it !

So, this AM I added fresh shavings to the biggest chick pen & moved the Cornballs & Leghorn chicks to that pen...Hard to believe how huge & heavy the Cornballs are already...little fatties.....they were hatched on the 3rd..............!
They are almost so big I have to pick them up with 2 hands or they wiggle free.
Leghorns (also grow fast but not as fast) I can get 2 in one fist...maybe 3.

Went on pasty butt patrol and all is well.Guess I better dust & wash a few birds today...........hate to do it too soon and then they get all muddy/poopy again.

Well, back to work !
