Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

It's hard to find them for a dog her size (as you know, but others don't, she'a sort of on the extra-large end of things); I'm going to look at Petsmart on Friday morning when I go in to buy another gallon of Nature's Miracle.

In other news: no matter what I thought I was going to do this afternoon, I have to cut hardware cloth and make lids for the chick brooders. One of the SSH chicks was out just now. I was going to get the ground levelled where I'm going to put their big kid brooder but that's not likely to happen today.

"Depends Underwear"

I swear there's a soaker hose above my house..yucks here as well.

No one said a word at the Monroe show in March. I've sent the state vet an email. No response so far.

I thought it was just they had the right to test your birds at the show if you weren't already certified. Think there was a paragraph about that somewhere I read recently.

I had a breeding pen set up and I let them out yesterday. My other rooster is attacking him very bad. He hides in the coop with his head in the corner. It is very sad and the rooster being attacked used to be the dominant one. He was never as mean as the new attacker is. Please help fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life's too short to put up with a mean bird. One has to go.

Absolutely; it's amazing how much simpler my life is without a troublesome rooster!

When you get NPIP certified, they come to YOU, and they go over everything in your house, coops, hatching area, incubator room.
IF you do not have a separate room for hatching from living quarters, and separate from brooding baby fowl..give up, you will not pass the inspection.
I still have my incubators and brooders in the same room, so I would not pass.
BUT I have had all my flocks inspected at all fairs & most shows I go to, and all are T&P clean.

*ponders how they'd feel about the brooder being an outside pen under a carshed 45 feet from the adults* >.> yes.. I have a weird setup. bahahahaha XD
But I did read that you had to have the 10% mouth swab testing done for shows, for influenza and ?mareks? .. no?

You'll be at the fair Sat, right??

I'm looking to find a new home for my two BLRWs. They're about a year old and are laying regularly. My problem is that they're somewhat aggressive toward the rest of my girls. I'm going to be introducing new birds in a few months and do not want to see them get injured/over-bullied. These two would probably do better in a flock of all LF with a top hen or rooster who will teach them their place. They are FREE to anyone here on BYC. I got them from Ron last year but I cannot remember their origin. It might be Wa4Hpoultrymom (sorry if I butchered the name), but I could be misremembering. Here's one of them.
