So we gutted out a 3-coop building, cleaned, replaced all indoor water buckets and feeders for winter........cleaned & gutted out another coop, replaced feeders, water buckets, etc...............new straw & shavings..............
Now I am going to separate new 5-mo old birds, and get them into the coops with their own breeds....................tonight, under darkness.

I do it all at night here also much less resistance

mine are not doing crap

Pile your coop waste & cover with a tarp all winter, uncover in spring about March, and plant seeds in the pile, install a sprinkler high enough, mine is on an art easle..........and just let them do their thing !

Better go get dinner on the table.....I am exhausted, picked another 5# green beans, made a 5 gallon pot of tomato soup to freeze, and we had tomato soup and grilled cheese sammich for lunch (YUM) and I have dehydrated 3 bushel boxes of red yellow & some green bell peppers, and 50 pounds of potatoes so far in the last 3 days...............
I have not gotten my water canner or pressure canner out this year.........and of all things I have forgotten to plant cucumbers this year, so NO new bread & butter pickles and no Dills...have to be a pickle year, next year
And beets........pickled beets next year, too
