Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I finished up my new chicken coop yesterday and put my pullets in their new home. They were incredibly puzzled by the whole experience. The older girls were having way too much fun torturing my pair of lavender orps too. The lavenders bring it on themselves. They shriek when anyone gets close to them, so of course it draws the attention of everyone to come pick on them.
My suspected Splash Orp yells every time she sees me! I wonder if the yelling is a breed thing, lol. I thought she was just an attention hog (pullet).

The chicks are rapidly outgrowing their brooder...they're 4 weeks old now. This coming long weekend, the plan is to work all 3 days on getting the new run put together finally. Which means I need to get gate hinges ordered today (I completely forgot)! Went to the feed store today for another bag of chick feed and while there grabbed a bigger feeder as they've taken to filling the low rectangular one with pine chips while digging and then forgetting their feed is in it! They're going after the feed in the new (hanging) feeder like they've never been fed!

I have floor feeders off the ground we made cannot kick crap or dump it I do not feed outside but got better photos this way

My buff orps don't...but then again, they are the oldest chickens I have, so maybe that's a factor.

Last night I put the lavenders up on the high roost (nobody else except one of my RIRs has figured out how to get up there yet) and they were happy as clams because none of the meanies could get to them. We'll see how long that lasts.
