My ducks stopped laying late May, so I had become suspect of such. Be interesting to know what the Farmers Almanac is predicting.

I get a Almanac every year. We had allot of fun at the fair walked one end and back.
Bought Sumatra coffee beans and Seattle's fudge factory, Fischer scones bakers dozen.

Morning up at 8 here Almanac new one comes out then October I think.

Bought 8 full bolts of fabric at the auction.

Make pants comfortable all of it is 50 x 50 cotton, polyester.
Also called parachute pants.

Just returned from HomeDepot with five 60# bags of premix concrete. I'll be pouring a small slab around the well head one of these days before it starts raining. It will protect the well from contaminant intrusion, and be a solid base to support a small well house.



I got 7 nice eggs this morning, two being jumbo size again. It probably would've been 8 if one hadn't dropped a soft egg on the lawn yesterday evening when they were foraging. It wasn't wasted, because 4 chickens pounced on it and ate it up almost before it hit the ground.

I have eight hens, and yes, they are laying a lot of eggs. Today's pair jumbo eggs were double yolkers, which I've been getting a lot of. I'm afraid that they won't have long, healthy lives because of being bred to produce so many eggs at such a young age. A few of them started laying at around 16 weeks old.
