@Kmaria187 , Here's a pic of one of mine that was sold as a barred rock. Looks kind of like your Salt, I think. It sure doesn't look like a barred rock, that's for sure.Salt n Pepper are now about 8 weeks old any idea what kind of chickens they are ?? Have tried to let them mingle with the older girls in our chicken run but they are not letting them run around and keep pinning them down in the corners!! I know they have to learn their place but I don't want them to get hurt either... So today I just let them out in the back yard for them all to run around so far no squabbles and no one is picking on them
What do you all think? Pullets?
I think she is laying light tan eggs, but not 100% sure. I'm just assuming it because she has white ears. Need to get out early and watch them all lay sometime so I know who's laying what. What color are her eggs ? I bought barred from the feed store had one rooster he is with a friend one hen is allot darker than the others. Hatchery is a big question it seems now.
Yeah....Good luck with that.I think she is laying light tan eggs, but not 100% sure. I'm just assuming it because she has white ears. Need to get out early and watch them all lay sometime so I know who's laying what.
She is kind of an odd one. The others have big, red combs and wattles. Her comb is really small. Maybe she's a late bloomer.
