Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Sorry Yoda doesn't always show up so well.
I hope the one who offered doesnt ferget the travel case for Yoda. I would really like to extend his life as long as I can.

From the looks of things - his life has ended. LOL! He looks to be hanging by his neck.

If Yoda ever does land into the wrong hands, or dog's mouth, or whatever, I think I know a little boy who could whip out another Yoda in a few short minutes.

Well this just stinks, I woke up 2 hours earlier than I wanted too with eyes half swollen shut and lip area swollen too. Weird thing is I did not eat anything out of the ordinary yesterday and was wearing gloves while working on the pallet coop.

Sorry you had a bad reaction to something. I hope it goes away fast. Aren't you allergic to mold? The pallets may have mold spores on them.

My allergist said the pollen counts have been the highest they have ever been. Last week, I also learned that grass is one of the highest cause of anaphylactic shock. He commented that the pollen counts were very high, and I might have a higher reaction to my "grass and weeds" shot. Sure enough, my arm did.

Yeah, I think it was some green mold. I am severely allergic to molds. Since these pallets came from a milk company, some do have mold. I have not yet treated the wood. It will before I paint is with Kilz. I have had 2 doses of Benedril and been putting the cream on it too. Improved by 50% so far.

Hadn't read this when I asked my question. Glad you are feeling better.

So... I must be on alone. Guess I better go clean up the yard anyway, before it gets too dark to scoop poop. I'm not into football, and DH only calls me over when the new commercials come on. Chat with you all later.

It is still swollen, the 30min I was out modding the nest boxes did not help. I think it is both mold and the grass. Ugh. Gonna be a painful drive tonight, I want to scratch so bad, but I know that is the worst thing I can do. The game has gotten boring, so I am only watching the commercials too. Neither of my teams are in it so no biggy on the outcome, especially since a Harbaugh is gonna win.

Well I just got the Sweet PDZ I bought a couple days ago unloaded from the car and tossed a few pounds in the coop. It was instantly better in there than it's been for a few weeks. I think the humidity and the number of birds in my coop just may prevent me from doing deep litter. I think I need to clean it out weekly for better results. But I'd rather do that and be able to keep a few more birds than I *should* in our small coop ;)

Do you turn it over daily. That is one of the keys to DLM. That way it brings the stuff breaking down to the top and starts breaking down the lower stuff. Mine got bad after a week of not turning it while in Hawaii. I have it almost recovered now. A couple of more days and ammonia levels should be down.
