I was just going to say I can go dig some comfrey up. It's all down our fenceline. Spreads some more each year but it's better than the blackberries. The bees love the stuff.

I remembered who has Hamburgs.....it is (was) 'Stumpfarmer' who lives off Marvin way in Tumwater....have not heard her here in a long while, though.
You can try to PM her & see if she has eggs for sale.
I also have a close neighbor here who has (had) Hamburgs...so let me see if she still does...........she was moving last I talked to her.
I have a slope it can happily take over lol... I dont know yet I'd like to go...biosecurity worrys me......and have to see how feeling and if things can be worked outIf You are planning to attend the Monroe show i have just dug out a big pail of comfrey roots (Ya cant kill it and even a fingernail piece will grow and overtake ). You can have as much as You want…..anyone else too…..but do recommend planting in a contained spot or barrel…..I will be digging it out of my garden forrrreeeeevvvver…..eliz
I think is easier to start comfrey from plants, and root cuttings. How long does it take to start from seeds??I am super excited waiting for my seeds to come in! all I need to do is get some pineapple sage and some comfrey crowns and my seed gathering will be done I think/hope/maybe/whoamIkidding?
just to plant and have it grow nowmy yellow pear tomatoes are coming up as are my cherry tomatoes...all my lettuce came up..chamomile started sprouting and few of the flowers.............still nada on the peppers so far
yesterday of course dropped down with a cold snap been 55 for weeks and last nigth dropped down to 40...woke up and was a frost outside
Hmm I need to replenish your curry. No, I have coconut milk, dry curry powder...and tried it on rice & chicken it was bland....not near as yummy as yours !
Holderreads have some nice specimens. It will be my first time going to the Fancy Feathers Spring Show. Keeping my fingers crossed I will see goslings at the event.
I will try to remember to bring…..I must ask you to look it up on the internet since there is a bit of controversy about it also….I grew up with it and my mother made juice and poultices with it…@elizmartin and @Hinotori I am still deciding on whether I will make it to the Monroe show, but if I go I would love some of your comfrey! I just read up about it after seeing the posts and it sounds like a great plant - both for the fertilizing aspects and healing. We have literally taken out over an acre of blackberries in the last few months and just about anything is better than them. I would probably start it in planters to be safe though! I will post on here if I go to the show. Thanks!
