A captain and his crew are sailing the seven seas when a faint voice from the crow's nest calls out, "Captain, I see a pirate ship through the fog and they have prepared for battle!" The captain calls to his cabin boy, "Quick, fetch my red shirt and vest so the sight of my wounds during battle will not distract the crew from their brave fight!".

"CAPTAIN!", calls the voice from above, "Five MORE pirate ships have appeared from the fog!!"

The captain turns to his cabin boy, "Fetch my brown trousers as well!"

YIPPEE !!
Yes, if you had cocci it is a massacre of blood, I had chicks get it once, when I started them on "grown up food" and it was as if I had slit my throat, blood everywhere, and started them back on medicated food & within a half a day they were fine.

Hope you do well & welcome !
:welcome

*** Be advised: On the feed sack, it is recommended you DO NOT feed medicated feed AND medicate the water at the same time, and I never do.
Apprently some do, and it also apprently caused no harm.

I also have never had chicks get Cocci when they were ON medicated feed, or on regular flockraiser and medicated (Corid Powder) in their water.
I do either, or, but not both, and have not had any other issues.
That said, there are many types of this protozoa, and in various parts of the country, so perphaps there is some out there a wee bit meaner than what I have had here.
Good to know, that you can administer both the Corid in the water AND Amrolium in medicated feed at the same time without ill results IF you need to.

Osteoporosis.....is what happened to me. DON'T TAKE FOSAMEX!!!!
This drug causes the thigh bone to thin and that's what happened to me.
I twisted my body to avoid my daughter's Great Pyrenees who was loping towards me.
I thought she was going run into me and so I twisted my body away from her and felt a pain in my thigh.
She turns and then comes at me a second time (she was playing with my two dogs) and barely brushes against me.
I twist again and down I go. My femur snapped. I had surgery Saturday morning and came home on Tuesday.
So, I am now convalescing. Hubby collects the eggs and makes sure the chicks are happy, while I just putz around the house with my walker. I have seen improvement since I've come home but I've still a long way to go before I'm walking around here pain-free.

QuiltinGramma I hear you! I have arthritis but don't like taking all those pills with horrid side affects. We're both disabled and that's why we got a small dog. I was wanting a Bull Mastiff but got a Jack Russell Terrier instead for the very reason you mentioned, being afraid of being knocked into. I'm glad your re-cooperation is going well!
