I'm going to be planting some new seeds in my yard. Any ideas for cheap and easy temporary fencing to keep the chickens in certain parts of the yard?

depending on how much you want to fence off hardware cloth can be quite cost efective
not sure I know my brother did a wood frame as Yelm where he live is rocky as all get out

Also, I can't really pound steaks into the ground because it is all rock. I remember seeing a post that didn't require being pounded in. But I don't know where I saw it.

I would never waste a good new york strip or top sirloin by pounding it into the ground either.......lol

Been fun this morning but need to run Dr. appointment this afternoon
takes about 1 1/2 hours to get there but won't give up my Dr.

Ok, is it weird that I'm all excited that my mealworm starter supply came in yesterday and I already have one new pupae and one new beetle? LOL I decided to farm my own since I spent WAY to much last summer buying them for the wild bird babies I raise for the wildlife rescue I work at. Decided since I also have chickens now, I'd give it a shot. LOL Can't wait for them to start to multiply!

Post not toast. Now I just need to learn how to speak. It has been a very long week. I found out my dad also had to put his dog down. It had a bone cancer. It was a great Pyrenees. Work sucked all week. My boss is a jerk. And I'm tired. Other than that everything is just peachy around here sorry, my grumpy self is going to take a nap now.

What a yucky, grey, dismally rainy day. Most of mine was spent in the backyard building my new coop and run. Good thing I set up cover to work under. Looks like my chicks needs me to expand their space in the brooder, One Barred Rock that I think is not a pullet is looking like he wants out. Gonna have to work on that tonight.
