oh are they barred also.. have to admit they have great white stripes on the end
of their wings but are hatchery birds

Hi there I close the doors the same as any night birds are pretty hardy if it got to freezing could put a heat lamp high but always be aware of heat lamps can start fires if sloe to shaving or anything else flamable

If it starts getting below 25, I shut the doors at night. I've had silkies successfully brood chicks in that weather.

that why I need those darn 2 silkie pullets now moving ameracauna into main coop as barred rock are gone new whatever peeps can grow up with silkie in new coop then I could integrate 2 malines
